On Friday, June 24th, the Court overturned the 1973 ruling known as Roe v. Wade, sparking ongoing protests in cities big and small. On Thursday, June 30th, people in Lakeland, Florida took to the streets in protest and denouncement of the U.S. Supreme Court's decision to eliminate the nearly 50-year-old federal constitutional right to have an abortion. Crowds voiced their fury, defiance, anguish, shock, dismay and disheartenment. "My body, My choice" echoed down S FL AVE to Pablo as protesters made their voices heard. Passing cars honked in support of the people gathered.
