
On Friday, June 24th, the Court overturned the 1973 ruling known as Roe v. Wade, sparking ongoing protests in cities big and small. On Monday, June 27th, people in Orlando, Florida took to the streets in protest and denouncement of the U.S. Supreme Court's decision to eliminate the nearly 50-year-old federal constitutional right to have an abortion. Crowds voiced their fury, marched, and braved some heavy rains. The mood was of anger, defiance, anguish, shock, dismay, disheartenment, devastation as well as renewed urgency. The energy emanating from masses of people was intense. "My body, My choice" echoed down Orange Avenue as protesters made their way from The Beacham to City Hall. This project is meant to capture the voices of demonstrators and shine the light on the movement. My primary focus is humanity.
