A Show of Hands
The human hand is the main source of contact with the physical world. The functions of the hands touch on so many aspects of everyday living. Hands speak by encapsulating human emotions. They shake, point, reach, posses, hold, hide, ask, show, support, embrace, touch, control, connect… Mute, yet speaking volumes.
This project has emerged subconsciously. Visible and expressive, hands keep commanding my attention, while out photographing.
Ultimately this project explores hands in the flow of action. What narrative of instrumentality do these pictures tell?
